Need advice on a GPU under £120

Hey,

I'm looking for a good GPU that'll match my budget, but I'll be fine going over it by maybe £10 maximum.

Here's my current specs:

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ (AM2)
Mobo: Biostar MCP6P M2+
GPU: nVidia GeForce 8600GT 1GB
RAM: 4GB DDR2 PC2-6400
PSU: 600w OCZ StealthXStream
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Also I'll be upgrading the CPU to an AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition (AM3), but will this work fine on an M2+ motherboard? If not, I'm thinking of ALSO upgrading to the Asus M4A785TD-V (£70 budget on Mobo), however, will DDR2 memory run on this? I'm obviously quite behind on what will work on M2/M3 hardware, I bought all of these parts as a bundle and put them together... last time I really payed much attention was when socket 754 was one of the best!

EDIT: I should say I've been looking at the 4870 1GB, and that seems to be the best I've seen so far!

HD5750/70 if you want DX11. HD5750 = HD4850 and HD5770 = HD4870. Other than that HD4870 is a solid choice.

Really? So the 5770 is exactly the same as a 4870, just with DX11?

Forgot to say I'll be mostly using this for gaming, with games such like Dragon Age, Fallout 3, and some future releases... nothing like Crysis though.

It is about the same newer tech with low power draw. There is plenty of benchmarks out there for example; http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-5770,2446.html

Hmm, the 4870 seems SLIGHTLY better on the benchmarks. Is it worth going to DX11 at this early stage?

It is probably a year or two until games require it. I personally would take the HD4870 because great price/performance and I am still on XP
