Hi All,

Greetings!

I'm new in selecting a graphics card.

Actually i'm having 2 graphics cards in my mind such as the Asus geforce GTX 650 2 GB DDR5 and ASUS HD 7770 2 GB DDR5.

My query is that which should i go for?
(or) Should i buy Asus geforce GTX 650 1 GB DDR5 Card.

Does my support these cards or will it requires additional connectors

My system configuration is

Intel i5 processor, 500 GB hard disk, 4 GB DDR3 RAM,450 watts CPU with intel desktop motherboard DH61WW

Please advice me on my selection.

Awaiting for your response.
Thanks and regards,
Pheonix

no, i mistook your post for something else. Sorry about that.

Not, if your gaming at lower resolutions like 1080P.

Some would even say 1440p, which with a single 290 or 780 i would agree.

However, below that i have noticed a huge difference when using two cards in CFX. This is when another pci-e slot is useful. Unless you plan to up your resolution, what you have is just fine.

Yes phoenix your computer does support the both cards.Your motherboard's pcie slot is 2.0 & the both cards have 3.0 but that is not a problem since pcie 3.0 is backward compatible with 2.0 and out of those two cards i recommend you to go with the 7770 since it has better overall performance and crossfire support if in the future you plan to crossfire. If you could have just extended your budget i would have recommended you to go with the gtx 750 ti as it is futureproof of Nvidia's maxwell

Hello Gee Bee,

Thanks for your valuable information.

Now i will buy Asus Hd 7770 card without any confusion.

But could you tell me why you said "unfortunately it only has 1 pci-e slot. "

Is there any drawback in having only 1 PCIE slot. since i'm a fresher in these things could you please advice me on this query.

Awaiting for your response.

Pheonix
