Need advice on configuration

I have a PC with
Intel Core 2 duo CPU E 4500 @2.20GHz(2cpus)~2.2GHz
Ram 2.00 GB
Windows 7 Ultimate
Nvidia GeForce 8400 GS App Memory 1234 MB

I installed Assassins creed 3 and it lags a lot
Is that I have an outdated system or it's some software changes that I need to do

Advice please
Any other things u want to know please ask me and I am ready to buy new hardware if needed . Please recommend!

I can tell you right now that your CPU is nowhere near good enough and 2GB of RAM is insufficient. So first question would be, "Are you willing to build a new one?" Your current system is quite old and I would not be putting a lot of money into it to upgrade. Upgrades would likely have to include used components, particularly CPU. And depending on which motherboard you have there might be a limitation on amount of RAM which is an issue.

If you still want to look at upgrading, it would be best if we had exact information on the system. Download this program (its free)

As well, open up the case and look at the Power Supply Unit (PSU), there should be a label which gives you make and model. If you want, just take a picture and upload it to the Imgur website, it is free to join.

Once you have this info then provide it along with a budget, country of purchase and any local online vendors you wish to use.
