Need advice on finishing touches

Hello I'm trying to build my first gaming pc and was wondering if these parts are compatible
or should I swap them for something else?

-I have planned to start building this month with a budget of $1000-1500. I can push 2k if needed.
System Usage:I'm mostly going to be using this pc just for gaming purposes and also frequent video editing and rendering (render time is just ridiculous on my current pc).
Parts:I just only need a pc and the correct power supply unit for it.

parts preferences:I don't really have one just as long as it works lol.
Overclocking:Most likely not.
SLI or crossfire: nope
Monitor Resolution: currently at 1280x1024, but I'm going to be buying a higher resolution in the near future.
Maybe 1600x1200 or 1920x1080.

For the psu i thought 750w was overkill but i guess not and I thank you good sir for your input. I actually might go with all your suggestions.

well for sli 2 560 ti's it isnt overkill for no sli a 550w is fine. a 650w psu for no sli 570's and 850w for sli 570's

if you actually doing a lot of video editing I'd suggest getting the i2600k over the i2500k, its better for multi tasking and video editing than the i2500k.

However if you don't plan to overclock you could just go with a H67 board rather than a z68.

P67 - overclocking
H67 - onboard graphics ports
Z68 - both

@mjmjpfaff ah ok so if I were to get a single gtx 560 Ti, the 550w would do well?

@shadow1942 and yes I do A LOT of video editing and so if I switched to i2600k would I have to change anything else?
and also on the OC part I might get tempted so I'll probably stay safe on Z68.

no need to change anything doesn't matter which CPU both work on z68 board and if you get the k models they're both overclockable

yes 550w is enough and i agree with shadow if you do a lot of video editing the 2600k is the way to go
