Would like to play games like Skyrim with mods, guild wars 2, and many games on steam with some mods. I prefer a stable 60 fps at high to ultra settings.

I own an Intel 330 ssd, but I'd recommend Samsung 830/840. Crucial m4 is OK, but you can get a better one that is cheaper. I bought the 330 for $100usd. In Taiwan, we don't have Samsung ssd.

Everything else looks great, but you'll probably want a HDD too. If I bought one today, at your budget, I'd get a 1tb western digital blue or black. Best out there and very reliable.

Everything looks okay, but if you're willing to pay that much for a 128gb SSD, get the OCZ Vertex 4 128gb.

Get a 7970 instead. It's at the same price as the 670, but has better performance and a higher bus rate and VRAM. Many people have claimed modding Skyrim goes over even 2.5gb of VRAM.

okay i decided to add the Western Digital WD Black at $109.99

and a SAMSUNG 830 Series 64GB SATA III at $49.99

As for the HD 7970 3GB I will see which version (sapphire, Powercolor) I like best, Although I do Prefer Nvidia over AMD (but the 3 free games for buying the HD 7979 is very tempting)

The Seagate 1TB I listed in my build is on sale for $50, which is a steal. It's definitely not worth the extra $60 to get the Caviar Black, which will run hotter and won't give you any noticeable improvement for your secondary storage.

The Seagate 1TB for $50 is very good. I also going to look at the "XFX 750W PRO750W XXX Edition Single Rail ATX 12V 62A 24PIN ATX Modular Power Supply 80PLUS Silver"
or other 750W modular PSU for good discount for the next few days. i was able to find a cheaper HAF 932 advance thanks to ckholt83. Now I will need to focus on a 3GB GPU such as the HD 7970 3Gb that excella1221 recommended.

go to the microcenter and find an i5 3570k and get the ASrock extreme4(should be under $300 for just that)

Okay for the GPU i decided on Radeon HD 7970 3GB (which brings 3 great games! for free). Now i need to figure out if all the the parts will be compatible with each other and if the Radeon HD 7970 3GB will fit in the case (single and, if i decide to go crossfire, 2 7970s (i hear that these cards are big though). Also, i prefer to buy online, and i plan to buy most or all of these parts on newegg since i know for sure that they don't include Taxes if shipped to N.Y.

Edit: I was wondering if it would be better to buy 2 64GB SSD and use Raid 0 (i think that is the name) or jsut buy a 128 GB SSD. Either one is the same price, $100 for both 64GB or for one 128GB SSD

no it is not worth it. a 128GB SSD is technically already in a raid because it is just more memory but if you get another 64GB to raid with it, it will no support trim which is suppose to keep the SSD up to speed

thanks

i am now looking at whether or not the parts can connect. for the PSU it says

1 x 20+4-Pin Main Connector
1 x 4+4-Pin ATX12V/EPS12V Connector
6 x 6+2-Pin PCI-E Connector
10 x 4-Pin Peripheral Connector
10 x 5-Pin SATA Connector
2 x 4-Pin Floppy Connector

whereas the the Mobo has ATX 24-Pin power connector

this means that the PSU (from my first post on this thread) won't be able to connect to and power the mobo (MSI Z77A-G45 LGA 1155 Intel Z77)?

you have a 20+4 pin which equals to a 24 pin the 4+4 pin is for another connector called the 8 pin on the mobo.(8 pin for yours anyways sometimes other mobos use less like a 4 pin

Rosewill power supplies have been nicknamed "black death." They're pretty unreliable and at $139.99 you have a LOT of options available to you.

The XFX mentioned is a good one. Many XFX power supplies use Seasonic parts. The cabling and connectors are provided by XFX and are generally of higher quality than you would get from Seasonic.

I personally like Antec power supplies. I have a 650 Watt that has been in 3 different builds. It's close to 7 years old now and still going.

I replaced it in my main rig last fall with an Antec High Current Gamer 900 Watt. Newegg had a great special on it.

why skip kindston they are great. i hate the kind of people that only stick to one or two options where there are a lot of other good options like the kingston hyperx 3k which out performs a samsung 830 also need to mention A-data premier pro since it is at the price range of a samsung 830 and is faster than it.
