Your Blu-Ray drive choice has some really bad reviews on newegg.

I'd probably go with an FX series cpu at this point.

The case/psu you listed isn't going to work... The PSU only has 2 4pin connectors, 2 sata connectors, and a 24pin mobo connection. This will not power your GFX card.

You don't need an aftermarket cooler until you want to overclock. The CPU comes with a cooler.

You don't need a soundcard as this mobo has integrated sound.

If you want to get knit picky, patriot RAM is a few bucks cheaper

Good choice on the 7850.... though I'm not sure it's justified given your limited budget.

Mobo is a decent choice, I looked at that one for my newest build. but went with an ASUS board instead.

This might work better... but you'll need to purchase a DVD drive.. and if you can afford it.. i'd find the extra $20 or so and get a FX6300 vs the 6100

If you are going to get a FX, don't go for the first gen. The newest ones perfom much better and only cost a bit more.

Also, I would not go for the Antec Basiq. Go for like the NEO ECO or a XFX550W.

Get the FX-6300 if at all possible, you will thank Piledriver later. it isn't that much more, and comes with an improved stock heatsink/fan.

That Power supply will have a really hard time running the 7850. i got a Corsair 500W for my system, and it crashed my system, frying my video card.

and the case is .... pretty terrible. I would suggest investing in a QUALITY power supply, not a cheap one that comes with a cheap case.

i have the same optical drive! it works, and cheap as dirt.

the power supply you had originally didn't have enough connections to plug in a GFX card.

Your revised list also has a cheap psu.... this is the one part you REALLY don't want to skimp on. If the PSU fry's it could destroy all the other parts of your system.

If you're dead set on the 7850 then you'll have to make some cuts elsewhere.... but if you are able to, you should really consider the FX6300 and a better PSU... even if that means a 500GB HD vs. a 1TB.

Hard drives are easy to upgrade.. GFX and CPU's aren't difficult but not cheap. and a good psu to run it all is a MUST!

Changed the HD to 500 gb, got the FX 6300

Those HAF 912 cases are really nice. I used one in my most recent build, very easy to work with.
