Need advice on Gaming PC

Budget Range: Trying to stay under $1350 - $1400


System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies.


Parts Not Required: Keyboard, mouse, OS.

Overclocking: Yes (I will purchase Fan/Heatsink + Thermal Paste from Fry's when I do this.)

Additional Comments: This is my first ever computer build and I was hoping to get some feedback from more experienced people before I pull the trigger. I don't know if my GPU is overkill or not but I wanted to be able to play games at decent settings for the next 2-3 years.

Very good psu, but unneccessarily expensive. Get either an xfx core edition 650w, corsair tx650, or a pc power & cooling mkii 650w and save $50.

Have you considered a Z68 board? Here are the major differences between these chipsets .
H67:
-Support for the IGP (Intergraded Graphics on Processor)
-Ability to only overclock the IGP on a “K” series processor

P67:
-No support for the IGP at all.
-Ability to overclock the core clock speed of a “K” processor

Z68:
-In most cases support for IGP (Gigabyte released a bunch of board that don’t support the IGP)
-Ability to overclock the core clock speed and the IGP
-Support for Intel® SRT (Smart Response Technology)
-In most cases can use the IGP and the dedicated video at the same time to give additional monitor support.

And if your partial to ASRock then you might want to look at this Z68 board

Thanks for the input tinman. I'll go ahead and take a look at these boards. The only reason I picked that ASRock in the OP was because it had good reviews and a Tom's Hardware recommendation. I didn't research as heavily into MoBos as I did with the GPU and CPU.
