Need Advice on Gaming PC

I'm planning on building my very first Gaming PC and am wondering if the parts i've chosen are a good fit for both online and offline gaming.

I'm really new to this and I've been wanting a Gaming PC for awhile, I don't know if any of these are incompatable, I tried to match them the best I could, I also went by Feedback ratings to determine which product I picked.

Any help/criticism would be nice, please if you think something isn't good suggest a new part(s), I'm trying my best to keep it below $750 so i can get a OS for it. Thanks!

You'll get a way better build more storage space. Way better graphics and a motherboard that can actually overclock.

Now with this build will I still need the network adapter to connect to the Internet?

Motherboards have a built in LAN connection. No reason to buy a separate one unless you're going wireless.

Is there anything else I might need to buy for this build... Btw i have a 42 inch HDTV for a monitor, Its overkill but I already have it

The H67 chipset you selected does not support overclocking, yet the i5-2500k is an an overclocking chip (has an unlocked multiplier). Either drop to a i5-2500 and save $10, or go with the motherboard that aznshinobi suggested since it supports overclocking. You can overclock a tiny bit with the stock heatsink, or you can get a cooler master hyper 212 and easily take it to 4.5 GHz.

The 6850 is better than the 5770 and you can get it for the same price with a rebate (I saw one the other day for $129.99 after rebate on newegg)

You don't need a NIC. Both motherboards linked in this thread have gigabit ethernet already.

You may also want to look into some combo's on newegg as they can save you some cash.

Anyways, his goal is under 750, which could be achieved with your build by going back to the 320GB WD while staying with the light-on burner and counting the $20 rebate. I see no reason to spend more money to get a combo unless he actually wants the 1TB drive. Also, who knows whether he cares enough to buy a 560 Ti over a 6850 for $80 less (almost enough to buy Windows 7 Home Premium OEM). It might even be worth stepping up to a 6870 and still save $50 over the 560 Ti.

Assuming that his TV is 1920x1080" Then yes the 560 Ti, specifically the one I suggested would be better. I say the one I suggested because the 560 Ti TFII OC is stock OC'd to perform at the level of a 570.

Yes 4GB is enough. Umm... By transfering OS what do you mean? I don't think that's possible unless you bought a retail copy.

OEM = Products that were from larger companies basically. So an OEM OS would be OS's that Dell/Lenovo would use, so they're sold cheaper since they aren't retail copies. They basically come with less to minimize price.

Win7 Retail can be used for multiple computers I believe 2, OEM is only 1. Also you get less support buying OEM than Retail.

The 6870 is generally faster than the 560 (non TI).

I guess? It's about the same. But I give the 560 a bit of room since most of the time it's stock OC'd pretty far up there.
