Need advice on gaming with 2x780ti or 1x970 performance...

So ive been running 2x 780ti cards in sli and loving how long theyve lasted me. I literally found some money in a box >< enough to pay for a gtx 970. I figured it would have to be an upgrade considering everything ive heard about how a ton of games dont actually support sli and how id be better off disabling it.
Im wanting to know if i should keep my 970 or sell it to spend on something i can actually use.
Im not sure if 3dmark benchmarks typically utilize sli or not.

However i have some benchmarks of my setup before and after i changed out to the 970. The big gap in scored is what has me so worried about if the 970 is even worth holding onto.

This benchmark is firestrike ultra ran before

A single GTX 780 Ti is a little faster than a GTX 970. So you still have 2x GTX 780 Ti and 1x GTX 970 ??

There's no point of running a GTX 970 apart from being "more up-to-date." Like MrN1ce9uy said, a single GTX 780 Ti is faster then a 970 alone. Having 2 780's will be better.

a SINGLE 780 ti = 970

you heard wrong mate


for you a single gtx 1080 would be a upgrade


a single gtx 1070 would be equal to what you have (when sli works)

Wow damn, okay thanks everyone. I was still stuck in my super old school state of mind i guess. Just pulled the trigger on the 970 cuz i didnt wanna risk missing out on the price i saw. Ive had the 780s so long i think im most inexperienced with graphics cards now, gonna have to study up.
What sucks is my physical health made it so i had to spend a whole day to take out the 780s and throw in the 970 rofl.
