Need Advice on good Cooler

My computer keeps freezing at times and i think becasue of this crappy stock intel cooler so i was planning to upgrade i had 30$ so i was wondering what would be a good cooler? I dont think I want that artic cooler 7 pro thing again it didnt like it to much. Im thinking about buying a zalamn 9500 off of ebay can you all tell me the difference between the 9500 and 9700 series other than the bigger fan? If there's no big difference ill just go with the 9500.

Zalman 9700 - bigger fan, greater fin area, heavier - giving greater cooling capacity than the 9500.

Actually the ACF7P is a pretty good, inexpensive cooler. The current winner in the performance vs. price category is probably the Xigmatek HDT S-1283 but it's a little more expensive than $30.

I do, however, own a 9500. Bought it off eBay for my knick-knack shelf. Attracts a lot of attention when I have company over. It's a pretty little thing, but it has have been superceded by better designs. There is a reason that you can find them on eBay.
