Need advice on memory clock speed

Guys I bought my self a ddr3 Kingston hyper x fury 1600 8Gb memory and I checked the BIOS to see the speeds. I saw the default memory at 1333 speeds and when I tried overclocking it to 1600 but it doesn't work and I had to go back to default. On my asus H81 gamer motherboard I tried enabling xmp but it only shows disable..... please help me get the value of 1600 on my board.

Are you saying XMP is disabled in the BIOS? You know you have to go to BIOS, enable XMP and select profile 1.

What does it show in CPU-Z (free app) in the memory tab for freq? If 800 then you are running at 1600 - the Fury don't use XMP, they are based on PnP and set themselves up automatically to the highest they can run - with no XMP profile - XMP does nothing 😉

NB frequency is 3199.3Mhz and DRAM frequency is 666.5MHz..... and in the BIOS there's no enable xmp..... just disable

As mentioned - there is no XMP with the Fury, they don't have an XMP profile, they run off PnP (Plug and Play). They have set themselves to 1333, you can try raising to 1600 manually

What CPU, it's MC (memory controller) may not handle 1600

Intel Pentium G3250..... but I'll be getting a i5 4460. I'm pretty sure that the pentium can't handle 1600mhz but the core i5 would
