I'm in the market for a new monitor and thats were problem starts I have no Idea what to get.

It's 80% gaming rest movies, video edit and browsing.

I'd love to go with a 27" but read somewhere you need 1440p to get best out of it.
While on the other hand 24" at 1080p is perfect supposedly
Also 5ms or lower is best 1 or 2 is great.

To get a top end 27" ur up for $600+ which is bit more then I want to pay.
To get a reasonable 24" like this one http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfakpGd4S14 is only $179 I'm happy to go to $300-400 to get a nice unit.

So can someone put me striaght with some info and ideas please.

Is a 27" 1080p 5ms running at 144mhz (3d) good enough or better to stick with 24" option.

I love the quality of feedback and speed of responses you get from this site.
Thank you

what are your specs? to run at 1440p you're going to have to have a good setup, i have a 27 inch monitor running at 1080p and ive seen a 47 inch monitor running at 4k, personally i couldnt see any difference so i would go with the 1080p monitor and save the extra cash for something else. if you're still up for a 1440p monitor have a look at this http://www.amazon.com/QNIX-QX2710-Evolution-LED-Monitor/dp/B00BUI44US, it is reasonably priced however the response time is 8MS
