But I need your trusty advice, my beutifull strong matshitsa 17inch 1998 moniter seems to be finally dieing.

and i have seen this 19inch lcd for £193 including delivery at aria.co.uk

what do u guys think of its spec:

I nearly went for one of these as the customer reviews on Aria's website were very good but I saw the 17" version in a local shop and it looked very 'plasticy' and cheap. Finally decided on a 17" Iiyama (435S) with a 10ms refresh, cost £184 from www.pcnextday.co.uk and I am well pleased.

Llyama is quality, but at a price. You can get a good 19" for the price of a Llyama 17"...

i was thinking of the ilyama, but aria customers have been saying the picture quality using the dvi connection is brilliant on these.

not to worried about it looking platicy they all look plasricy to me unless there made out of metal.

Having a look is always preferable to shopping by spec but having said that, I'll give you my opinion:

193 quid is about $400.00. Since it seems you are in the UK then I don't know what other monitors would be available to you. There are several others listed in this forum with equal or better specs for less money but if they have to be shipped overseas then that negates any good deal.

this is one of the cheapest brand new 19inch moniters avalable in the uk. unless i go for a second hand dell which i will not be doing.

not having a dvi connecter does this degrade the quality of the image or does it not matter, as the digimite has a dvi but this 8ms tft only has analoge?

I have not been able to tell teh difference, but would go DVI to DVI if had a choice.
