This is the first time I'm overclocking my processor, I'm using a MSI 790FX-GD70 and Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition, I'm currently running it at 3.8Ghz, the problem is that whenever I change the FSB to anything other the default 200, my PC becomes unstable, I made sure to adjust the Ram and CPU multipliers so that it remains close to stock speed, trying to find the max FSB. Appreciate your help with this guys.

Personally, I feel 1.55 is about all I would want to push it. But some folks take it higher. So, yeah, you can crawl up a bit more. Just remember that the higher the voltage for everyday use, the shorter the processor's life span... all else being equal. But if necessary (and it remains stable), you can increase it a bit more. As long as you keep it cool, you should be OK.
Can't you leave all else at default and just raise the clock multiplier alone? That is the simplest way to increase speed on a processor with an unlocked multiplier.

Run a stress test like Intel Burn Test or Prime95 between increases to be sure it is stable. When it fails, bump the voltage a bit. I've been able to get some nice O/Cs on my Black Editions with nothing more than multi increases.

I did do that, but I can't push it past 3.8 GHz, after that it becomes ustable 🙁
