Need advice on overclocking

Hello,

I am just getting into overclocking my system builds and wanted to ask what are the best programs to use for benchmarking and should I install them on my ssd or my hdd?

Cinebench R15 to test performance and Prime95 Small FFT to test for thermals and stability. Either ssd or hdd is fine.
