I'm looking for a cheap good ssd as a boot drive that has trim

Yes, it will support TRIM. Are you sure 40GB is all you need though? It will fit Windows but not have much space to install much other stuff on it.

What's your budget? We can look for the best SSD in that price range for you

Do not buy that drive.

1. Too small
2. Too old
3. Too expensive.

On Amazon, that is currently $70. It is several years old (2011, I believe). A current model 120GB SSD is $70-$85. Faster and more reliable.

All the specs I could find (including Intel's) on the ssd did not mention trim. So, I would assume that it did not have that function. It's an old sata2 ssd. Kind of slow.

If you're looking for an SSD at £50, that is probably the absolute worst buy you could make.
Do not buy that drive.
