Need Advice on what to upgrade for better gaming performance.

Hey everyone, I'm a fairly new PC gamer having just gotten a custom built pc off of someone on craigslist and I was just wondering what I would need to upgrade to get better performance in games. It runs Skyrim on ultra just fine, but things like Mafia 3, Warframe, Rust, and PUBG run subpar from what I would expect. I'm wondering what would be the best to upgrade with my current specs:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz

Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti

RAM: 8.0 GB

Operating System Microsoft Windows 10 64-Bit

What motherboard? You can pick up a used i5 2500 on ebay pretty cheap. The 1050 ti is ok, not great, but ok. You'll have to turn some settings down to get good frame rates but with all the ethereum mining it would be hard to find a 1060 or 570/580 to replace it that didn't cost a lot.

Yeah from looking at the technical manual it should accept an i5 2500. you can go as much as an i7 2600 but I wouldn't put that much into it.
