Good evening,

I've been reunited with my PC, which has been sitting for a few years at my parents' house, and I'd like to replace the power supply, which is over 10 years old, and the hard drive, which I think is probably slower than the other pieces in my machine. I could really use your input. I only plan to use my PC to play Civilization V and the Sims 3.

My motherboard is an ASRock P67 Extreme4 Gen3 LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel.

My processor is a Intel Core i5-2500 Sandy Bridge Quad-Core 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W BX80623I52500 Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2000.

My RAM is a G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL.

My hard drive is a Western Digital Black WD5002AALX 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive.

My case is a LIAN LI Lancool PC-K62 Black 0.8 mm SECC, Plastic + Mesh ATX Mid Tower Computer Case.

And my graphics card is a EVGA 01G-P3-1450-TR GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) 1GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. How many watts do I need? 700? Which hard drive would you recommend?

Thank you

Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB hardrive~ 50$ Very popular, very common.

Do you want a PSU that will be good for this setup, or have headroom for future upgrades?

Thank you both for the helpful suggestions. I am interested in a power supply that would allow me to upgrade a bit down the road.
