First time builder here. I haven't quite decided which graphics card to go with the mobo mentioned on title. There's so many out there and I'm not quite sure if there has to be some compatibility thing that I need to keep an eye out for. Would love to hear what you guys think! :)

Physically any current graphics card would work. What's best for a balanced system (for gaming) would depend on your CPU. So what are the rest of your specs and likely budget?

EDIT: What sort of games? Screen resolution and refresh rate?

Sorry for the late reply! For games, I play ESO, AC Odyssey and Origins, , the Tomb Raider remake (or reboot?) series, Dragon Age series. Hoping to play upcoming titles like Cyberpunk 77 and VtMB2 smoothly when they get released. Resolution at 1080p HD at 75Hz (ASUS VP229QG). Planning on getting a 2nd monitor as my main screen in the future though.
 
With respect to only the graphics card the furthest I would probably go is the RTX 2060 graphics cards. 1080p75 isn't too graphically intensive. May depend on what the second monitor you want to get, and how you use it.

The budget you mentioned suggests an entire new build. I haven't seen any Cyberpunk 2077 official spec requirements (though previous suggestions suggest the demands could be high). How is the i7-7700 currently performing for you? I would personally suggest holding off a full upgrade until it no longer performs as you want, as it should still be pretty capable. You could get a good or better graphics card now, which can be reused in a new build should you later upgrade.

I'm still in the middle of getting the parts actually. I went with the non-overclocking cpu first since I really have no experience with overclocking and would rather do it when I have at least a better grasp of what goes on about it and how to do it properly.

I'll keep an eye out for any RTX 2060 then. Might get a refurbished for the price (unless I find a brand new one for a good price). As for the 2nd old monitor, was thinking of getting a 144hz monitor from the same brand (ASUS VG248QE). Will be using the other monitor for browsing and discord most of the time.

How far along are you with buying parts? If haven't started and willing to wait a it, then I'm sure resident builders can come up with a more modern and powerful system for the budget you have available.

I only have the cpu, case, mobo, and hdd so far. So about 4 out 13-ish parts as of now.

And I should have wrote the 2060 series of cards rather than the RTX 2060 specifically. Though with the budget could definitely go higher.
