Do you think this is a good CPU and mother broad combo?

Abit -- AL8-V -- 945P 1066FSB mboard - Audio/GB-LAN/IEEE/PCI-E/SATA3G/DDR2/ATX - Retail - with cpu - Pentium 4 3.73GHz LGA775 2MB 1066FSB (HT) Extreme Edition - with cpu fan & heatsink - Assembled & Tested

Of pricewatch for $1158.90. Still stumped on what cpu and mother broad to get. Just read on intels website that the Extreme Edition is good for gaming. So I thought I would ask yall and see what yall think of this..

I like that ASUS broad.. It is oretty sweet broad.. I would say Asus not good for AMD since thats what I have now..

What kills me is the CPU is 1000 bucks. I cant find it no cheaper then that on the net.
