[SOLVED] Need advice

Im planning on upgrading my pc i have a gtx 1060 6gb and an i5 7600 right now. I want to buy a rtx 2060 and an i7 9700k but will a rtx 2060 bottleneck my i5 7600 or other way around because if it runs smoothly i will wait with buying a new cpu for like 2-3 months?

Well first off if this is primarily a gaming PC you could get a ryzen 3600 and RTX 2070 super for the same price you could get a 9700k and 2060. A 3600 and 2070 super would perform quite a bit better in really any game.

An i5 7600 would hold back a 2060 in newer CPU heavy games possibly by quite a bit depending on the game, AC odyssey or BFV would be some examples of quite CPU heavy games.

I am not going to amd because i dont want to unnesesearly change to a otther motherboard, i want to stick with socket 1151.
So you are saying that if i buy a rtx 2060 i should buy a i7 9700k at the same time and not wait with the cpu?

What motherboard are you currently using? Pretty much anything you could be using with your 7600 is not going to support a 9700k. So you will need a new motherboard regardless. Only the 3XX mobo's support 9th gen or 8th gen chips, such as Z370 or Z390. Your board (H270 or Z270?) may have the same socket as say a Z390 or Z370 board but it will not support a 9700k.

You will certainly see a performance uplift going from a 1060 to 2060 with your i5 7600 in most games, just not as much as there would be if you had a more powerful cpu. So yeah I would upgrade the GPU first if you cant do both at the same time.

I currently have the msi h270 pc mate.
And you’re telling me that i need to upgrade to a better motherboard to get the best performence. Can you tell me a motherboard around 100€ that will work?

You need a new motherboard in order for a 9700k to work at all. Your H270 board will not support any 8th gen or 9th gen intel CPUs. The board I linked below is one of the cheapest boards that will support a 9700k, it's not great.

Since you need a new board anyway like I said a ryzen 3600 and 2070 super would be a much better gaming system than a 2060 and 9700k.
