Hi,

I'm looking to buy a new monitor but i'm not really sure what i want and what my GPU can handle.
Price point for the monitor is around 550,- But looking for or 1 ultra wide one, or two normal ones.
GPU: GTX 1060 6GB

Displays will only be used for gaming and mostly for RPG's or MMO's. Also looking to play newer AAA games.

Any advise on what display I should get and if my GPU can handle ultra wide?

There are 3 basic screen technologies.

TN - fast response, up to 200Hz last time I looked, but poor viewing angles and limited colour range.

IPS - great viewing angles and lush colours, but slower response, 120Hz is the fastest I think, and deep blacks can suffer from edge glow.

VA - Nearly as fast as TN (at least 144Hz), colours and viewing angles nearly as good as IPS, but limited number of models out there.

Decide what your priorities are, then concentrate on the panel tech you want.

I am assuming 1080P gaming, as that card wont handle 4k with any grace.
