Need advise for choosing my next CPU.

Currently I'm looking to upgrade my CPU, which would also imply changing my MoBo, since currently I'm using an Intel Core i5 650 (Socket 1156).

Within my budget (and availability in my country) I can get an Intel Core i3 4130 or an AMD 8320 for about $300 USD with a MoBo, I would appreciate your advice but also, if you could point me to some websites where I can compare the processors, that would be more useful on the long run.

I usually use my PC for gaming, photo editing, & video converting/editing, and normal office stuff.

Since I have memory I've always been an Intel user, but I pledge no loyalty to any brand whatsoever.

FX 8320 over an i3 anyday. FX 8320 competes more with a locked low end i5, but can surpass them with overclocking. i3's compete with the FX 6300, but get beat when the FX 6300 is overclocked. Not knowing your country doesn't make it possible to give suggestions other than that though.

FX 8320 and a Gigabyte GA-970a-ud3p is a good combo if it fits your budget.

yes the 8320 by a mile, not even a contest. of those choices it pretty simple.
