Hi everyone,
I just purchased a used T1650 on E-Bay for 230.00,.
It comes with a I7-3770 and a 1T hard drive with no OP.
I was thinking about dropping in a 240gb SSD and installing Win7.

It has two SATA 6 ports so I don't think that will be a big issue, but should I be concerned about what type of controller the SATA III has built into it?,..and do you recommend anything special (not-pricey)

I have 16gb of non-eec of ram to drop into it so that is taken care of.

I'll work on the PSU and GPU after I have the PC here so I have the measurements,.but I want to get the SSD in the mail ASAP so it's here when the tower hits,.

Thanks for your time !!

Coming from a Xeon pro,.thank you,.
I've never bought a workstation before but I think its a great deal,.I just want to keep it simple and I think the I7 will work out just fine for what I need,.just a few simple upgrades and I'll see what happens,.

Thanks again!!

for gaming the i7 in it is a GREAT cpu. if i remember right the psu is standard so you should be able to just drop a new one in and you will have a nice pc.

This is what I got,.I was just looking for a thumbs up,.

I'm figuring I'll just go with a 550W PSU if I need too,..some of these models came with a 320W so I'll have to wait to see what it has in it,.I really haven't decided if I want to turn this into a gaming rig .I'm just looking to invest another 150.00 into it to make it a solid runner,.

Thanks again
