Hello guys,

I`m trying to build my first system, which could handle gaming at max settings on triple 23" monitor setup. Games such as COD, GTA ...

So far I have three things in my shopping basket:

■AMD Phenom II X4 975 Black Edition 3.6GHz Quad Core Processor
http://www.cclonline.com/product/53822/HDZ975FBGMBOX/CPUs/AMD-Phenom-II-X4-975-Black-Edition-3-6GHz-Quad-Core-Processor/CPU1120/

■CCL Choice AMD Radeon HD 6950 2GB Graphics Card

■NZXT Lexa S Black Midi Tower
http://www.cclonline.com/product/41188/LEXS-001BK/Cases/NZXT-Lexa-S-Black-Midi-Tower/CAS1222/

I need help with choosing motherboard and RAM. Don`t know anything about them.

I don`t have to buy PSU, I`ve got Arctic Pro 750W. And HDD is not required as well.

My budget is around £600.

Thank You.

AMD Phenom II X4 975 is bad choice! Either get the 955 and clock him to 4.0 GHz or get the AMD Phenom II X6 1090T

Now, I would give a couple more $$ and get one 6970. Ideally I would go with 2 6950s but that seems kind of impossible for that budget!

I don`t fancy payind double the money for brand. I know that Intel are slightly better, but they cost a LOT more.

What is 1155?

I`ve made two setups:

Intel

Intel Core i5-2500K 3.3GHz Quad Core Processor

Everything looks good but the case in this matter. If you are going to run a Phenom II 975 and a AMD 6950 graphics card I would get a better case that can handle the cooling down part of your hardware. Look at the Coolermaster HAF 922! The 6950 runs hot if it don't have any fans pushing air on it and if your only going to use three 120mm fans total in your case your going to notice real quick how hot the card will get! Trust me I have a MSI HD 6950 with a Intel Core i7 950 OC 4.0Ghz and with the HAF 932 it still gets kinda hot.

Like I said everything looks good but the case.

I don`t think the case should be an issue. It has 5 fans.

I`ve made another setup. Things ar pretty much the same, but it`s different site and a bit cheaper.

I really like this setup.
