I was wondering if someone could recommend a durable, quiet and backlit keyboard. My budget for it is 100 euros, and i dont want to spend more (unless its really worth it) as i think its pointless to spend so much on a keyboard... This keyboard is suppose to last for a very long time too. Please tell me what you think

hmm unfortunately for me, that keyboard you linked is not available anywhere in ireland or the EU. id have to get it from the usa, and the customs charge for usa shipping is absolutely ridiculous. are these the only ones :)?

thank you very, very much for your suggestions. but the roccat one would be very uncomfortable, redragon has the most annoying laptop buttons.. and if i was to buy razer for that amount.. id simply go for corsair 😛P but i appreciate it a lot

Corsair ones are mechnical . You can hear them typing from next room. I am suggesting based on silence and backlight being my first priority. CAn you mention your requirements in order of priority?

hmmm. Comfort (the way buttons are 'segregated' is important too), quietness, blacklit. i dont care about macros, never seemed to use anti ghosting.. i dunno what else keyboards have. also dont all mechanical keyboards come with rubber bands so that theyre really quiet ?

You got my eyes rolling. Mechanical keyboard comes with nothing to make them quiet , people prefer them for their noise. I know it sounds stupid (It is , in my opinion too) but really they can make noises so loud to wake your neighbour midnight and scream at you. You are best off with a razer stealth one , which has one of the best typing experience without making such a noise . But yes it is louder than your average chiclet keyboard still.

lol, So what now . I also do not prefer mechanicals and have bought the steelseries apex . I found it actually good with so much lighting options , but its big , so i am not sure if it will suit you.

I am using the regular one. After update(first time u plug it in with steelseries software) it has cycling colors option too .fullgamesense supported too .

Nothing weird in my opinion , just an extra line of keys everywhere. Its comfortable and sounds a little less than a normal rubbber dome. This one is also a rubber dome , but the keys are well built .

i dont really understand the point of mechanical keyboards 😛 theyre not that comfortable, and theyre loud. whats the point?

tell me, which do you think is better: steel series apex, razer deathstalker for the same price, or maybe some keyboard from corsair for the same price

also do you think i should add 20 more and get the deathstalker chroma ?

Mechanical keys give feedback to fingers and also noise , so you know for sure when a key is pressed and press only till that point and type faster . although you can do it ona regular keyboard too but you wil never know how much press is really required to activate a key.

Sure buy the deathstalker.
NO my post is not dumb as hell , mechanical keybaord description is. I am getting a vibe that you are doubting my knowledge ,so i would suggest you to do some own research. google why to buy mechanical keyboards. Once you find the exact reason please inform me as well.

no. your post isnt dumb as hell. buying mechanical keyboard for the sake of sound and having a feeling of "clicking" something is dumb as hell

i just googled it as a matter of fact. few websites state the same: mechanical keyboards give users a satisfaction of pressing down buttons. 😵

as a matter of fact, the steel series one overall looks a lot better. the buttons seem to be better too as the deathstalker has those laptop-thingy buttons.

any other keyboards you suggest aside from those you already linked :)?

I couldnt find anything else , rest are Aula azio havit and so many no name brands. Apex is the one i bought and i did it after 3 months of research and researching between an avg brand to logitech to roccat to blackwidow chroma and then finally APex.
Although a heads up tip: I wanted something mind boggling of a difference in key press, but i guess that was too much i asked. On a side note i have used a MAc mechanical keyboard and it disgusted me . the force it took to press a key . I could have lost weight with that.
