[SOLVED] need an explanation about GPU sub-brands

do you remember the days where graphics card were shipped by Nvidia itself? it was fine but now there are sub-brand like GIGABYTE, ZOTAC, MSI, PALIT, SAPPHIRE, ASUS, (most of them are Taiwanese)
1)why so many brands just for only 1 graphics card(from Nvidia, one individual company)?
2)is Nvidia doing this for cost-saving?
3)why CPUs are delivered from the same manufacturer instead... (AMD and INTEL)
now whats the best BRAND at:
RELIABILITY (last longer)
PERFORMANCE (most power GPU by that specific brand) (NO factory OC.ONLY STOCK GPUS)
VALUE (has the most performance in the smallest budget possible)
