Hello, Thanks for stopping by and helping me with this purchase! I found a guy selling bundles and he is down to his last one. He is selling a bundle with the following parts that are brand new + Sealed:

CPU : I7 7700
Motherboard: Maximus VIII Hero Alpha (1151 socket)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB DDR4-2666MHz (1 Stick)

His asking price is : 400€ or around (450$)

My question is: Should I get this bundle and start my build from there or should I buy something else for this money?
I was thinking of buying the bundle and selling the CPU + RAM and just keeping the motherboard which is really expensive.

NOTE: The parts are brand new sealed, he doesn't provide a warranty because they were taken from a store that was closing.

I would not buy that setup for that price. An I7 7700 is great for some games, but its quad core nature makes it not great for others.
You could get an i7 8700k setup for simmilar amount (likely a small bit more) and get better performance all round.

Thanks for the suggestion! I was leaning onto buying the bundle just for the motherboard, would it be a good investment of buying the budle and selling the CPU + RAM for 300 and keeping the motherboard for future build?

I wouldn't buy any of that hardware, as it's a few years old. Unless you can get it for a steal (300 or less) I'd buy new parts with a warranty.

The motherboard has a Z170 chipset which is not what you want to run a modern 8/9th gen processor.
Start with a Z390 based motherboard, no need for a expensive version unless you contemplate a future 9900K upgrade.

That was the answer I was looking for thank you! I didn't know it wasn't compatible with newer cpus! I only looked at the socket 1151. Thank you for opening my eyes!
