Need an upgrade for GPU (Budget)

OK, I have a GTX 660, and i'm looking to upgrade to a budget GPU, I have been looking at the 750ti, 950, and the 1050 if the rumours are true, I did some comparing on GPUBoss, and my 660 seems to be almost equal to the 750ti and the 950, I think this strange seeing as the 660 was released mid-late 2012, and the 950 was released mid 2015. Will i notice a difference if I upgrade to the GTX 950?

The 950 is better but it's not worth the upgrade. You should at least get a RX470 or 3GB 1060.

Understood, but if all you can afford is a 950, the best course of action is to wait and save up more money for a more worthwhile purchase.

What about gtx 1050, or is that a load of bull?

The 1050 ti is supposed to come out in october, but I doubt it will be that much less expensive than the rx 470. The 1050 should follow short after but who knows.

1060 ti you mean? Far as I know the 1050 hasn't been released yet and haven't seen anything solid re its release thus far.

edit: did spot an article re the 1050 possible release in Oct

I doubt that Nvidia will release a 1060 ti, they didn't in the last generation of cards and any meaningful performance gains over the 1060 would position it too close to the 1070 for comfort. Who knows though, wouldn't be the first time I was wrong.
