Need assistance finding an old video game

I rented this game many years back. Back when the snes was still rather new. The only thing I remember is that it's a side scrolling game, with a girl protagonist that was wearing red. No, it's not little red hood on the NES. I also know it's not on the genesis, since we didn't own one. Thanks!

Did you own a SNES? Vaguely remembers Ghost Sweeper Mikami, although from what I can recall she has a purple/blue dress and red hair.

Yeah, it was my family's snes. Just played on it when I got the chance. Sorry, that's not the game. Looks like it's fun. Thanks for the reply, though!

Course, it could've been on the NES too. Just have such a vague memory of it. The other thing I remember(Vaguely mind you) is that a frog or a toad talked to you after a bit. Sounds like a very strange game I know lol
