(Not sure if this is the right place to post but oh well)

Hey all.

I decided to build my first PC after all of my friends were bragging with their superior PC's. My brother and I have connected everything up but when we plugged it up to the mains, it started booting up and turned itself off. Then, a few seconds later, it started to boot up again. It then turned off again. We've taken it all apart and put it back together again as well as made sure all of the cables are in properly. The CPU is in properly, and the CPU fan is working.

All we could think of which would cause this is either the power supply isn't good enough for the system or it's overheating. I didn't get any external fans because the case has a couple of fans built in. My components will follow.

If you could try and help, I'd be real grateful. Also, try and leave it in simpleton terms. Thanks!
