i need audio driver for windows 8 64 bit os in mercury pi945gcm motherboard... The driver given in the manufacturers site cannot be installed as its installation processes ends due to an error. kindly help me. Regards!

Windows 8 is not supported on the pi945gcm motherboard, hence the driver error (it's not a Windows 8 driver).
The drivers for your motherboard on the Mercury website are for Windows XP & Windows Vista only.
You should always check to see what drivers are available before changing the OS version.
