need Bounty Hunter help!

I've been getting into bounty hunting, and now that I have
investigation 1 I realize that succeeding in this mission will be a
lot more tedious than I hoped. To do one mission, I evidently have to
follow 3-4 steps before even getting to the target. My questions are:

1) Are the different Spynet informants in relation to my diffiulty
level? Can't I just use the same one I've been using, or do I need to
find a specific Spynet guy? Is there a listing of where to find these
guys anywhere?

2) Should I really continue this profession? It was fun when I just
had to select a mission and the Spynet guy told me where to go. Now, I
have to buy two types of limited droids (which is crazy) that are
rarely sold, trek out to starport cities and constantly shuttlehop
between missions. It all seems to crazy.

Any suggestions, help and info is greatly appreciated

Ben

Yes. As you increase in Investigation you will use different Spynet
operatives. There is no listing that I am aware of. One thing you have
done that will make life tougher is taking Investigation I too early.
Most will accumulate BH XP untill they cap out at 10000 points and
take Investigation I & @ at the same time and be about half way
through to III before they have to start running off planet missions.
It goes much faster that way. I even dropped Investigation I when I
learned this and started over due to the complexity and time drain of
the off planet missions.

I was disillusioned with the profession for several reasons.

1> No Wook Armor and the necessity to get up close to get your special
shot bonuses on the LLC. Couple that with one of the early PvP whines
that caused the nerf in Carbine HAM costs. Add in the Knockdown nerf
(Thanks again PvP whiners) and the profession was hardly useable as an
unarmored Wook.

2> BH Missions for Jedi's were totally broken. There was no way to
track them with the BH Droids. Isn;t it just simply amazing that once
the first waves of Jedi's had time to get trained up and established
and to the point that they could handle BH's they finally fixed this
problem. Another indication that the Jedi's are going to be toe golden
children of this game.... Just above the PvP faction. When I realized
these missions were broken I said to heck with the profession

I switched to Rifleman about the time Wook Armor came around. Now I
hear that BH's are going to get much love and a huge switch in the
requirements for makeing it to the profession.

There are comprehensive lists of the SpyNet operatives and locations of
Bounty Hunter terminals on the official Bounty Hunter forum.
I did the same thing you did...learning Investigation I as soon as I
qualified for it. The droids fail way too often without Investigation II
(they never failed after that).
A good way to quickly grind the first 6k-10k is by running the missions in
Coronet. Right in front of the capital building is the BH mission terminal
and the SpyNet operative that gives you the waypoint.
Simply accept and abort missions until you get one reasonably close, ie.
less than 2km away.

The BH Jedi missions have been fixed, but scaled down 1/10. Instead of
getting 150k credits and 3k Investigation XP you get 15k credits and a
measely 300 Invistigation XP.
This is tentative until the devs come up with a way to scale the rewards
based on the Jedi's skill. I had the fortune of doing this profession when
the Jedi missions worked and got the full reward. Still had to put up with
Jedi who constantly logged out and in to break the droids.

The requirements for BH will change, but not the proposed Master Marksman
and Exploration line of Scout as originally proposed. With that
requirement, a player could become a one man factional base destroyer.

And now there is a delay switching weapons making the BH even more annoying to play.

Still at least they're removing 3 lines of scout from the requirements.

I did this in front of the Tyrenna Starport. There is a place where
you can open the BH Terminal and stand and talk to the Spynet
Operative at the same time. Take a mission, Check it's location and
either take or abourt it right there without having to run back and
forth. Use the BH Tarminal on the wall to the bank area, keep it open
and walk bacj tothe enterance to the little park there by the
enterance to the banking area and take a missions then get the WP from
the spynet Operative.

Of course I did all this back before Player cities had their
shuttleports and before we had vehicles. In tact I did MOST of
Investigation I & II before we have rideable creatures!

Heh, I felt the delay but I just figured that was normal. As for BH'ng
itself, I wish they'd change the whole structure of its gameplay. Why
should the profession hinge on whether someone makes a certain type of
droid? I cant find any anywhere. BTW I also just gutted out
Investigation 1 and am currently working on getting both 1 and 2 when
I hit 10000 exp. Wish I thought of it first.

It's only like a couple seconds. It's not a big deal.
