So I am fairly new to the world of building PC's, and by that I mean my experience only includes putting in RAM and a GPU in my already assembled build. I have had this PC for years and have no real reason to upgrade because for the longest time it's done what I needed it to do. But with the wave of new PC games such as BF4 and Arma 3, my computer, to put it lightly, has suffered. Meaning running on minimal settings I still get below 30 fps. So I have looked into building myself a new system from the ground up. I have a very basic idea of what I want (below), but I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations on either, what they would replace, or if anybody has any advice on a way to lower the cost to under $1,000 without giving up to much power. Any help will be greatly appreciated, thank you!

My Build Idea-
Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 Advanced
HDD: Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB
Monitor: Asus VH238H Black 23"
GPU: EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-bit GDDR5
PSU: Corsair HX Series HX850 850w
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series (2x4GB)
Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 LGA 1150
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz

Solution
Hey, it really depends what you want out of it. For $1000 you can have an amazing PC. But you also seem to be of simple means, so I think we can save $200 off by not overclock or having dual graphics card potential in the build. (if I'm wrong, it's fixable)

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-B85M-D2V Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($59.79 @ Newegg)
Memory: A-Data XPG V1.0 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($68.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.99 @ Amazon)

Since you didn't include much info in your OP about what you want, just tell me what you think about this one, it's $250 lower than your budget and it can do lots of new games at good settings already. But we have room to play with to :) (a SSD for example)

The GD65 is a big step up from the G45 and it's usually about the same price. And does Z97 bring anytghing to the table for you ? . If not and you can shop at newegg there's some crazy newegg deals to offset cost of CPU ($240) and GFX card ($310)

Save $42 in this Z87 combo and $20 MIR here for much better MoBo, better / faster GFX:
$690 http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboBundleDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.1461080

However I could never argue against going with the latest and greatest in MoBo design of ya can swing the budget. Either way, I'd lose the slower EVGA GFX card and grab the higher clocked and quieter MSI version. Watch it tho....prices changing daily.... wait for right tome to strike.

The HAF was one of my fav cases .... like 5 years ago but now it's a bit long in the tooth..... the Phanteks Pro (2014 case of the Year) follows on the Enthoo Primo getting 2013 Case of the Year and will rock your world for $89 - $99. Many youtube videos

Window one with OSU cover is $99 (outta stock already on newegg)

No window, no cover is $89

With no SSD in there, and with money saved on the case, I'd grab a SSHD

HX850 is one of the best PSUs ever made....do you need that much quality .... that's an extreme overclocker's PSU which you could get by With A Seasnoic M12, Corsair RM or XFX Core.... and 650 watter will serve if ya not ever going to SLI.... I would keep the 850 + SLI option myself

$95 for 850 watts http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207011
