Depends on what game really. Far Cry, totally maxed out in 1280x1024
did surprisingly well. That game has some realistic looking texturing.
And a LOT of it! I finally finished it yesterday.
Q3A is OGL and these cat 4.5's give me a texture flicker I haven't seen
in years. Even in the DX9 games there can be some wild texture
anomalies. But fast, yeah it's fast. 1280x968-32 bits, everything up
high, lightmap, Q3's demo4 I get 247 fps.
I think things are finally finalized on my ug's after the GA8-iHXP died.
P4-3.0E/800fsb/1m L2 (Prescott), 1 gig PC3200+ at 400, the 9800 Pro, XP
Pro SP1. Sound is a TB Santa Cruz and I likes it. The new mobo is
GA8-IPE1000-G and it seems to handle everything nice and smooth. In
3DMark2001SE I got just under 17,000 and nothing is OC'd at all. UT2004
is very sweet and no texture anomalies I can see. Halo will
occasionally give a weird one. Morrowind seems to do VERY nicely

Eagerly awaiting HL2, Doom3 and Q4!
McG.
