[SOLVED] Need comfortable headphones with large ear cups for $200 or under

Hello. For years I've been a user of cheap generic headphones, but recently I purchased an ATH-M20x as my first foray into decent headphones, and my god, that thing is unbearable to wear for any period of time. The ear cups are cramped, my ears touch the inside of the driver and the earpad material isn't comfortable either. I'm going to cut my losses and not bother trying to remediate it by buying new earpads.

I need recommendations for comfortable, spacious, neutral sounding good quality headphones. General purpose media use (music, film, games). Need a pair I can run off of my motherboard (B450 Tomahawk). I don't wear glasses.
I don't know if I should go for open-backs since I've been a closed-back user for all my life. I have a room to myself, but there's air conditioning and the hum of my PC fans in the background, which aren't loud, but I don't know if that'll play nicely with the open-back experience.

I have only a couple in mind that seem to fit the bill, I appreciate suggestions and advice. Budget is $200, maybe a bit more.

Closed-backs:
-Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro
-Sennheiser HD 598 Cs

Open-backs
-Beyerdynamic DT 880 Pro
-Sennheiser HD 599

CoolerMaster MH751, closed back, sound great, very comfortable. I think I can wear them longer than any of my other headphones. Under $100 and the sound is very good, even though they have a mic as well, that comes off and you have a nice set of cheap closed headphones. Philips SHP9500 are also very comfortable for under $100 and I think sound about as good as the Sennheiser models for 2-3 times the cost. They are open though so will allow more sound to come in. In fact for your $200 budget you can buy both of them and swap around as you feel like it, which is why I bought them. I like having 2-3 $100 sets that are good over one that is $300 so I can play around with different sound signatures. I own 6 headphones, only two of...

Although one of those was bought used so still was $100 for me hehe.
