Yea, I unfortunately decided it was time to build my next PC during the worst time lol. This is the best price I have seen the 3600 in recent weeks.

Is the B550M preferred over X570? I thought X570 is better for future proofing.

Unless you are specifically looking for something, B550 should be good enough. Also B550 has newer memory controller, since it wa released later. Here is a reference chart...

For Ryzen 3xxx processors, 3600mhz CL16 is the sweet spot. The infinity fabric upto last gen. was pretty choosy about RAM...
