I've got this idea for a PC device that would fit into a case's 5.25 bays, either full or half-height. Short of getting out calipers and a ruler and stuff, which I've done already, does anyone know where the "official" measurements for a bay device could be found?
I'm looking for something that shows the spec placement for screw holes and that kind of thing, so I can work on some blueprints. I can't seem to locate any official engineering specs for devices meant to go into a half/full-height bay. Anyone know where I could find such a thing? I mean, there are hundreds of bay devices on the market, how the heck do the engineers know just exactly where to put the holes and what kind of threading to use, etc?
