Need diskless pc setup advice

So my GF just got into gaming and she wants to build her own pc. I would like to save some bucks by not buying an SSD/HDD for her build. Would an additional diskless pc save me some bucks?

Absolutely not.
A 1TB drive is ~$45-$50.

And there has to be a drive somewhere. If not in the PC, then over the LAN. In which case overall performance, and especially for games, would be severely substandard.

Looks good but I'd push for a B350 motherboard so you can overclock that CPU, or at least have the ability to do it later on when needed.

Something like this could work well if you don't care to overclock although I'd wait for the reviews to see how the i3-8100 performs for gaming.
