Need exact dimensions of DELL S2340L 23" monitor including bezel

Hi everyone, I need the exact dimensions of the DELL S2340L (2013 S Series) 23" monitor screen *INCLUDING THE BEZEL* and not including the monitor stand.

Very specifically, I need to know the height and width of the screen including the plastic around it. I primarily need to know the height and width, though if you could provide the depth (along the edges) that would be great too.

I am seeking to fit the monitor perfectly into a cabinet. I thought the 21.5" was the right size but it's an inch too short. Before I go through the process of exchanging the monitor I need to know if the 23" is too tall or not. The Dell website only gives the dimensions including the stand or of the screen but not the bezel. I tried chatting with Dell support and the guy was like, "well I can see the monitor in front of me has about a 1 inch bezel." ...

I can't seem to trust any online source:

I purchased the 21.5" monitor and measured it:
Actual height dimension: 11 + just under 5/8ths of an inch.
Dell.com: 11.85" (just under 11 + 7/8th of an inch.)
NewEgg: 11.72" (Which is essentially what I actually measured)

23" version according to sources:
Actual height dimension: ??? (Help!)
Dell.com: 11.28" (smaller than the 21.5"? wtf?!)
NewEgg: 11.72" (same as the 21.5"?! wtf?!)

Actual according to an owner: 2013 S-Series: S2340L 23" (31.5 cm by 53.1cm, complete edge to edge, including bezel)

Actual according to an owner: 2013 S-Series: S2440L 24" (33.49 cm x 56.74 cm, complete edge to edge, including bezel)

OK, I did some A^2 + B^2 = C^2 math, and...

The 21.5" screen is only 10.54" tall. With the bezel it's as I measured, about 11.72" tall. Meaning the bezel adds about 1.18".

Presumably the 23" screen is 11.27" tall. If the bezel is the same, with the bezel it's 12.45" tall.


I'm guessing I need to exchange it because the perfect fit for this cabinet is 12.5-13" tall with bezel. I'm still hoping someone with the monitor can just measure it and report back though! I'd rather the monitor an inch short than one millimeter too big.

do you have a best buy, officemax, microcenter or other electronics store nearby that sells such monitors? the most RELIABLE way is to measure the monitor yourself.

maybe someone here has one but i dont see that model number come up much in discussion.
