Need Expert Evaluation!

Hi guys. Im looking to upgrade my processor (and mobo along with it) with a very tight budget.

The current CPU im using is an Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5700 @ 3.00GHz

Im looking into getting a cheap yet good AMD processor and came upon this:

But I could not find this processor on Newegg (where I usually check reviews for components) so I was wondering if anyone could tell me if the model is wrong or if its a fake (which would explain the low price).

However the CPU in your first link shows athlon (fm2+) while the 2nd link shows phenom (am3+) right? That part is confusing me as I'm unsure which mobo to buy along with it D:

Yes, lazy work on my part. My apologies. I saw the "840" and didn't pay attention to the fact that it was the Phenom II. (damn AMD and their re-issuing of product numbers)
The Athlon 840 will be even better than the Phenom II X4 840.

Since you won't be OC'ing the CPU, you can choose from whichever board meets your requirements and your budget.
