Need Expert Help On 2 Questions

Hello. I have recently finished deciding on a PC Build and had just a couple of questions about it. So if you don't mind taking the time to answer and help me, I would be very grateful. Thankyou

Question 1;
Here is my Build List of Parts. Is this a decent build?

CPU - Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor
CPU COOLER - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO CPU Cooler for All Intel/AMD CPU's
MOTHERBOARD - MSI Z87-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 (Socket 1150) Motherboard
MEMORY - G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
STORAGE HDD - Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
STORAGE SSD - Samsung 840 EVO 250GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
VIDEO CARD - EVGA GeForce GTX 770 ACX 2GB Nvidia PCI Express Graphics Card
CASE - Cooler Master HAF X Gaming Tower Case
POWER SUPPLY - Seasonic M12II EVO Edition 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Fully Modular
OPTICAL DRIVE - Asus DRW-24F1ST DVD/CD Writer

Question 2;
If I could push my budget a little, would getting a GTX 780 be a lot better than the GTX 770 or would not be that big of a difference? And also is a Super Clocked version of a GTX 770 a better option of is the life span of it not as good as a GTX 770 ACX?

If you could answer any of the 2 I would be super thankful.

The build is fine. You have no need for an i7 in a gaming build. Get an i5. Same with RAM, get 8gb for gaming. The PSU is a bit overkill and 650w would be plenty.

Yes the 780 is a decent jump from the 770, and no pretty much all versions of the 770 will perform the same. The "oc" "superclocked" stuff is mostly marketing. In reality, the lower end base model versions of the cards usually have more overclocking headroom. None of this has anything to do with lifespan. GPUs have the same lifespan sitting on a shelf as they do in a computer. Overclocking (safely) or different versions of cards has nothing to do with longevity of the card itself.

Sorry its not just for gaming. I will be using it for general Uni work and also Recording/Editing/Rendering. Thanks for the very good advice anyway. I'll definitely look into perhaps a GTX 780. Any ideas of a version I should look at?

The EVGA ACX cooler is good, as well as Gigabyte's Windforce cooler. Either of those is a good choice in my opinion.

Thanks. Okay so a GTX 780 ACX would be a good choice. and would I then have to change any of my other components??

No everything will work great, you could probably trim here and there, the PSU and RAM, but it's only from a value standpoint.
