Current case: Zalman z11

Fans: 2 top (120mm/140mm), 2 on H60(120mm), 1 bottom(120mm/140mm), 1 front(120mm/140mm), 2 on doors (80mm)

Wants:
-60% quiteness/40% power up to a 50/50 ratio. (Not OCing much, dont need loud fans)
-Red or Red LED
-Quietness, I'm 1.5 feet from my computer, I listen to music, dont like computer noise.

Budget: up to 100$ in fans

Question:
Are 140mm fans generally better? As far as quietness/power, should I get them?

Solution
Bigger fans can push more air at lower speeds which means less noise compared to smaller fans, smaller fans need speed to push more air out compared to big fans.

Power and noise depend on coil size/thickness, current draw, fan blade design, bearings, rated speed and size.

Higher speed fans require more power, bigger fans require less power as they spin slower.

A big fan can push 60CFM at around 1200-1500RPM, a small fan can push 60 CFM at 3000-8000 RPM depending on design.

A 140mm fan will push more air and will be quieter than a fan smaller than 92mm, 120mm will be a little noisier but not by a lot.

Solution
Also, I dont mind if the h60 Fands arent LED.

What I want for those are QUIET and powerfull 120mm's...

What do you suggest for those?

I've been getting alot of suggestions for Gental Typhoons.

I heard from a lot of people that the Sickleflow Cmaster fans have greatly exaggerated specs, is this true?

On these two, I think the Gentle typhoons are better, would you agree?

Need any help? You can always ask me for help, just send me a PM and I will answer as soon as I can (I believe our time zones are different but nonetheless, I don't mind helping). I'm always online for the most part, and I'm quite the student at Math and Science and OK with English (mostly the art of writing an essay).

Sweet.

So 2 Gentel Typhoons on the H60..
4 140mm's around the case...
And... my last question..
If I link up the 80mm's with Molex, are they going to run at 100%? They're rated at 33db at 100% 😱

I believe it is at 100% for molex connected fans. Anyways it may be loud but don't forget that DBA doesn't add up like this.
2 33dba fans dont equal 66 dba. It should be something like 35-36 dba. If it worked that way where it added all the DBA of the fans, I'd be deaf right now

Yes, unless the fan's molex has a resistor in the wire or is wired to the 5V side, it will run on 12V which means max speed but you can buy fan controllers or you can leave the 80mm fans.

Socialfox, well in the UK its currently 2.36AM, appreciate the offer, google seems to make my homework a little easier most of the time though.

It's 9:41 pm right now in Canada, so anyways if you do ever need help and Google isn't able to help, feel free to send a PM, I will always be willing to help :)
