Need fast help with Router Upgrade

I currently own a router/modem all in one that was given to me by my isp for my dsl internet. I was wondering if I can use a router like the one linked below with my current router as a modem. Can I just run an ethernet cable from my current router's lan to the WAN port on the new router? All responses are greatly appreciated!

Absolutely, but you need to configure the WAN port IP address.

The blue port will be your WAN port or your internet port. Depending on the modem set up you may have to configure that port manually, but only if it is not set up as a dhcp server. Since it is dsl you will have to set it up to send the user name and password. Most make it simple to do but not all.
