Hey guys,
Recently I picked up an Asus G752VL gaming laptop and I was wondering.
I currently have a 3.5in 1TB HDD but also have a slot for a 2.5in SSD, what's the benefit of using both and would I want to use a lower SSD (120GB, 250GB) that I tend to see a lot of or would it be okay to use a 2TB SSD that I wanted to originally upgrade the HDD to and have both. Any help would be appreciated!

Solution
Ok benefit of both, the SSD will be much faster for boot time and application start time. The HDD will have a cheaper cost per gig for storage, and since you already have the 1TB its effectively a no cost item. You could get a smaller SSD as a boot and program drive and spend less on an SSD that way. That being said, if you just wanted to throw a 2TB SSD, theres no real downside besides cost. The Samsung 2TB evos are incredibly fast. If you did decide to go with a smaller SSD and use the 1TB drive for storage, I wouldn't recommend anything smaller than a 240-250GB drive. With the size of OS and games, the 120 will fill pretty fast if you're an avid gamer.
