Hi guys, i just started to play games again cuz now I BELIEVE i have a decent system, well i think so. Anyway my problems is that the video in some games, more noticeable on NEED FOR SPEED UNDERGROUN is not smooth. I mean the quality is fine but when youre playing every once in a while seems like the game has to load the graphics and that causes liks a pause in the game, is like prolly half of second but its getting anoying. So if someone have some advices please let me know. Thanks

AMD ATHLON XP 3200+
ASUS A7N8X-E Deluxe
Corsair TWINX (matched pairs) 1GB PC 3200
Nvidia Fx 5900 Ultra 256mb (Actually an ENGINEERING RELEASE)
Western Digital 250GB (ATA 100)
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
Enermax 480w Power Supply

If you think it's loading textures while your racing did you do a full install of the game? Try defragging your hard drive.

BTW, is it a pause or a drop in frame rate. If its with frame rate try lowering the quality settings in the games to get smoother game play.

My system is decent, and plays most games at max settings in 1280x1024 at good frame rates, however I expeirenced the same thing in Need For Speed Underground, everything looks great, and still runs smoothly for me, however my frame rates are rather low, less than half what they are in other games.
