Hey guys,

So, I used to have a 290x, until it died. It died at the worst possible time along with my motherboard, as I don't have too much money at this period of time. I am however, eager to start gaming again. I am currently eyeing the gtx 970 which I can score for £90/$110. I don't think that's bad considering pascal will buy me a 1050. I only have overwatch and a 1080p 60Hz monitor but am worried about the 3.5gb vram nonsense. My specs are:

i5 6600k
z170m
16gb corsair 2400mhz ram (going to OC to perhaps 2800)
750w cooler master gx psu

Would this max overwatch with my resolution and refresh rate? And for how long? I don't want to upgrade for a while and I only play e-sport type games. Think its worth the plunge?
, and is it better than my old leaf blower?

Thanks

I gave my power supply, cpu, ram, motherboard and graphics card to a buddy. Everything worked except the motherboard. The motherboard worked with HD graphics but not otherwise. When the card was put into my friends motherboard, his system wouldn't boot either, so it doesn't take a genius I suppose lol. But I wasn't going to use HD graphics, so I bought a z170m. it was a h110m anyway and it was being wasted by my 6600k, so eh why not.
