My father is looking at either an ultra-wide-monitor or dual-monitor setup for his Dell computer with 4K resolution. He is using it for business purposes, not gaming. I am requesting suggestions for either an Nvidia-based or Radeon-based GPU that is capable of handling both ultra-wide and dual-monitor setups at 4K resolution and will work with the specifications of his computer. I have provided a link to the Dell computer that he purchased from Amazon in hopes that the listed PC specifications can help narrow down the recommendations:

Amazon.com: 2021 Latest Dell XPS 8940 Desktop - 11th Gen Intel Core i7-11700K up to 5.0 GHz CPU, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, Intel UHD Graphics 750, Killer Wi-Fi 6, 500W PSU, DVD-RW, Windows 10 (Renewed) : Electronics

Thanks in advance.

These cards should be able to handle the resolutions and monitors:
  • GeForce: 1050, 1050 Ti, 1650
  • Radeon: 5500 XT, 6500 XT
More powerful cards can work in a pinch, but they won't necessarily increase performance in his use cases. Also, check the card's outputs before buying to make sure they'll work with the interfaces you want to use the on the monitors.

Thank you for your response. I am using pcpartpicker.com for the GPU selection. On the GE FORCE 1650, would I be better off going with the 1650 G5 or G6? There is no regular 1650 listed. Also, would my father's machine be capable of handling the 1650 Super or Ti? Thanks again.

It doesn't matter which 1650 you get, they're all pretty much the same product.

Regarding the 1650 Super or I presume you mean the 1660 Ti, check to see if you have one of these connectors from the power supply:

Note that two of the pins may be detachable.
