Hey guys

I'm building a new rig for general use and some gaming and I have some doubts about these cards

1 - price difference is 15 bucks (Biostar is more expensive odc)

2 - Asus has a higher base and boost clock

3 - I have 0 clue about bio star's quality

Models are :
Asus dual gtx 1060 3gb
Biostar gtx 1060 6gb

Rest of the specs are :
I5 8400
16gb (2*8) 3000mhz hyperx
Msi z370 gaming plus
550w CM MWE bronze psu

Thanks for the help

don't get the 3gb version whatever you do. it's a cut down slower version with less ram. A 1060 6gb is a very good card and will handle games no problem at 1080p with the system you have listed. Now I am not familiar with bio star but if its a Nvidia 1060 6gb and there's a choice get the 6gb every time regardless of brand.

Thank you for your response, what if, i were to change the 8400 to ryzen 1600, I could save around 100 bucks going from the 8400 to 1600 (with changing the motherboard ofc), would that make sense?
