Question Need guidance on USB card for my motherboard

I'm looking at getting a USB PCIe card for my system. I have a ASUS Pro WS WRX80E-SAGE SE WIFI motherboard with 4xPCI Express x1, 3xPCI Express x4, 2xPCI Express x8, 2xPCI Express x16 available slots and the board supports USB v3.2.

I have multiple onboard USB ports, but I've run into issues with the USB connection disconnecting with my APS UBS using PowerChute Business Edition software. It's a known issue and there are various solutions offered online and none have worked. I wanted to try a USB card to see if that would finally resolve the issue and no longer drop the USB connection from my UBS to workstation so that I can receive notification alerts whenever there are any power issues.

Before I buy, I wanted to get any feedback on the card that would be ideal for the board I have. I was looking at the following card: Sonnet Allegro Pro

Any feedback/recommendations would be appreciated.

It is possible your motherboard and the Sonnet Allegro Pro USB controller card use the same USB controller chip. The Allegro Pro controller card uses two ASMedia ASM3142 chips, while ASMedia also builds the chipsets for AMD motherboards.
